CaseWorks Connect is an iPad OS application (or app). CaseWorks Connect allows you to create and complete forms, take photos, record video, record audio, and dictate notes to be synced to your county’s CaseWorks Social Services Edition. The CaseWorks Connect mobile app is designed to provide all the tools you need while in the field, with or without internet access.
The CaseWorks Connect Three-Step Process
- Manage CaseWorks Connect cases through the desktop CaseWorks Social Services Edition as you prepare to go into the field.
- Use CaseWorks Connect in the field to review, generate and complete documentation.
- Sync content from CaseWorks Connect to CaseWorks Social Services Edition.
Logging into CaseWorks Connect
Use Your CaseWorks Social Services Edition email and password to log into the mobile app. When you click within the email textbox or password textbox, the tablet keyboard will automatically appear. You can then type your information.
Choose the green checkmark next to “Remember User ID” for the app to save your login email information
Click Sign In.
The CaseWorks Connect Mobile App Home Screen
The home screen of the CaseWorks Connect Mobile App is a simplified version of the CaseWorks Social Services Edition home screen. The left side of the screen contains the primary menu with four blue and white buttons. In the center of the screen, there are two tabs—one for the Document Processing Center (DPC) and one for the Electronic Filing Cabinet (EFC).
My Cases
- Click this icon to access specific client cases. Client cases are sorted by Last Name.
Map Temporary Cases
- Click this icon to map temporary cases created in the field to a CaseWorks client case.
App Log view
- This log is primarily for the CaseWorks development team to evaluate user interactions and needs.
Sync Dashboard
- Click this icon to select the content that needs to be synced between the CaseWorks Connect Mobile App and the CaseWorks Social Services Edition desktop software.
Document Processing Center (DPC)
- This tab will display all the synced files from your CaseWorks Social Services Edition document processing center.
Electronic Filing Cabinet (EFC)
- This tab will display all the EFC offline doctypes synced from your CaseWorks Social Services Edition electronic filing cabinet.
Closed Cases
Synced cases that are closed will be marked by a green closed icon. This icon is visible in the My Cases tab as well as in the Casefile page and serves as reminder that the case has closed in SSIS and can be removed from the CaseWorks Connect app.
Returning to the Home Screen
If you would like to return to the home screen, click the left-facing arrow that has appeared in place of the menu icon you are currently using.
