To preview the file, use the APN to Navigate to the client’s Case File Page.
Select the EFC Documents tab and expand the media file’s taxonomy - SSE: Taxonomy 12 – AUDIO RECORDINGS – PHOTOS.
Click on the name of the document to preview the media file. It may take 60-90 seconds to load.
When the file has loaded, a playback window will display. The media may automatically begin playing.
From here users may preview media files. Users also have the option to Delete or Download the media file. Click on the ‘x’ in the top right corner of the playback window to exit.
Deleting the file will move the (stub) document to user’s CaseWorks Recycle Bin. The file in AWS will be moved to a secondary location in the cloud where it will no longer be accessible from CaseWorks; this location acts like a Cloud Recycle Bin.
Note: Do not use the context-menu option (accessed by right-clicking on the document) to delete a Media Document. This will remove the media file’s stub file from the EFC, but it will not delete the Media File which is stored in the cloud.
To Download Media Documents from CaseWorks select the download button. The file will now be downloaded to your computer.
Note: Currently downloading media may have extra steps depending on the file type. If you need help downloading files, please ask your supervisor to create a ticket and NCT Support will be happy to assist.
